This advanced industrial sewing class is perfect for students who want to master specialty machines and work with premium fabrics like knits, silks, and wool. You'll learn production techniques that designers use to bring collections to life—from tech packs and AI tools to smart fabric substitutions that speed up your workflow. Over two months, you'll design and construct a t-shirt, coat, and pants, building real skills you can use to launch your own collection. Whether you're dreaming of a runway debut or selling to boutique buyers, this hands-on experience gives you the confidence and know-how to make it happen. T-shirt materials are included; bring your own fabrics for the coat and pants or reach out to instructor Dara Page beforehand to plan your project. The first day includes patternmaking, sample cutting, and design so you do not need to have anything created before arriving.
